Class Descriptions

Here are some examples of my most popular themed classes, but each offering is customized to your organization:


ART OF KAWAII
Translated as “adorable” or cute, this Japanese art style focuses on drawing animals and food.


CANDYTOPIA
Students will create art inspired by popular sweet treats. This class does not include real food.

COMICBOOK ANATOMY
Hot off the press, this camp is for future illustrators and writers! Campers will develop their own character that will be implemented into a storyboard and then a comic book. Campers will learn the difference between splash pages, speech/thought bubbles, captions, and more. This class is heavy on drawing and coloring. If your child loves to draw and create comics, they will love Comic Book Anatomy! Other art projects will also be created as time permits. No weapons, violence or gore is allowed. Icebreaker games will be played as time permits and campers will engage in positive peer reviews.

EMOJI FEST
Projects include an emoji gumball drawing, mosaic cubes, and giant paper-stuffed emojis.


FOOD-RAGEOUS
Students will be inspired by a mystery theme or challenge to create masterpieces with food. Students will sculpt with crisp rice treats, mold with fruit leather, decorate with candies and more! Icebreaker games will be played as time permits and students will engage in positive peer reviews. No cooking occurs in this class. 

Food-rageous Feats has the following additional requirements:
$10 material fee due to instructor
ability to cut cardboard with scissors
Potentially uses glue guns

FASHION WEEK
Make it work! Fashionistas will create a drawing each day pertaining to fashion and various art projects including a mandala tie dye shirt*, marbled bandana, rolled paper jewelry, stamped T-shirt bag, Batik-inspired drawstring tote, and will design their own mixed media dress on a mini form. There is no sewing in this class; fabrics and embellishments will be glued to the form. Icebreaker games will be played as time permits and campers will engage in positive peer reviews.
Materials Information
Projects involving T-shirts - Adult Medium will be supplied. If you choose to bring your own shirts, please make sure they are suitable for dyeing (cotton); one plain white and another, a solid color.

GAMER ART
Students will create art inspired by popular video games. 

PHILLY FAN ART
Students will create art inspired by Philadelphia. 


STOP MOTION ANIMATION
Projects include Paper: Bubble Trouble - students will draw a bubble gum scene; Claymation: Sound Bites - students will sculpt a mouth to eat a food of their choice and Food: POP-arazzi - students use popcorn in their movie. Students will also use the green screen, onion skin, sound effects and title slides. “Free create” time with different props will also be given as time permits. 
Stop Animation has the following additional requirements:

SUPERHERO ART
Students will develop their own character and brand identity!
